Jesus Was Born in Bethlehem
Jesus was born during the reign of King Herod. King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this. He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers, and a private meeting with the three wise men.
Present-day Bethlehem is a city in the West Bank located about six miles south of Jerusalem. Bethlehem was a Canaanite settlement.
