Captain’s log, stardate 12.01.2023

Good morning. It’s the first day in the last month of 2023. How was the year for you? Do you feel that it went by quickly?

Charlie Munger passed away, which was surprising, but knowing our mortality, it should not have been so. Thoughts to his family, and my heart to his friend and someone I admire, Warren Buffett. It would be amazing to build a business like Berkshire Hathaway in my life. If I remove the word “can’t” from my vocabulary, then the possibility exists.

As I said… my heart goes out to Munger’s family and friends. Found myself wishing Warren Buffett a long life… and that he slows down on the McDonald’s but if he’s been fine this whole time… why fix what’s not broken?

I worked on the following questions over Thanksgiving:

What do I want to learn in the next 3 years (by 2027)?

• Aside from obtaining my CFA, I’d like to excel in marketing and design. Along with improving my writing for the publication of Don’t Cry for Me, Alexandria which I look to publish in 2027.

What am I going to commit to become in the next 3 years (by 2027)?

• In the top 10% as a consultant (first as a marketer, then as an investor).
• A successful and profitable entrepreneur.
